I am Jimmy Laminger from Montana. One phone call was all it took, and I was scammed out of my meager savings. It all started with a call from someone claiming to be an IRS employee. He told me I owed back taxes and would be arrested if I didn't pay immediately. I was shocked when he gave me my IRS information and address.
I was instructed to withdraw cash from my bank and deposit it at a Bitcoin ATM near my house. The caller explained the entire process and even told me which machine to use. I panicked and didn't have time to think clearly. I deposited $16,000 into the ATM and transferred the money to the Bitcoin address I'd been given.
